About HVL Forestry Mulching
I’ve been clearing land so long I can read the land like a book. I’m a local, owner-operated forestry mulching business serving Henderson County and the surrounding area. When you call, you get me. Not a call center, not a salesperson. The person quoting your property is the same person running the machine on clearing day.
That matters more than it sounds. Forestry mulching is the kind of work where every property is different, and the person walking your land needs to actually understand what they’re looking at. Tree density, terrain, what you want left standing, what you want gone. I’d rather spend an extra twenty minutes on a walkthrough than show up with the wrong plan.
HVL Forestry Mulching is fully licensed and insured. I own all my equipment outright. No rentals, no borrowed rigs, no waiting on a shop to free up a machine before I can get to your job. When you book a date, the equipment is mine and it’s ready.
Running my own rigs means I know them. I know what they can handle, I know when something’s off, and I know how to keep them working on the days that matter. That translates directly into showing up when I say I will and finishing what I start.
About The Owner
Our Process
We Listen. We Plan. We Deliver.
We walk your property with you, put together a clear proposal with scope and pricing, then clear the land with forestry mulchers that grind everything in place.
Step 1: You Reach Out
Online is best. The machine runs loud and I miss calls during the workday. Send the details through the site and I’ll get back to you same day or next morning.
Step 2: I Come Walk The Property
Every quote starts with an in-person visit. I need to see the terrain, the access, and what you want kept standing.
Step 3: You Get A Quote And We Lock In A Date
I send the quote after the walkthrough. Larger jobs involve a deposit. We also set a fallback date in case the weather turns.
Step 4: Clearing Day
I show up with the rig and get to work. If you want to adjust something once you see progress, flag me down.
Step 5: The Mulch Stays On Site
I don’t haul anything off. The material gets spread across the cleared area as ground cover. It holds moisture, cuts down on erosion, and breaks back into the soil.
Our Machines
I run a CAT 299D3 compact track loader as my primary machine. It’s the rig you’ll see on your property on clearing day.
Before the CAT, I ran a Kubota SVL75 and a Bobcat T86. Both solid machines that put in a lot of hours. Every machine I’ve owned has been bought outright and maintained by me.

Our Equipment
The head on the machine right now is a Fecon Blackhawk. It’s what’s doing the actual mulching on every job.
Before the Blackhawk I ran an FAE forestry mulching head and a Loftness mulching head. Each one earned its keep before I moved on to the next.

Areas We Serve
I work across Henderson County and the surrounding area. That includes Hendersonville, Flat Rock, Laurel Park, Mills River, and Fletcher. If your property is in or near any of those, I can get to you.
Outside that footprint, it’s always worth a call. If the job isn’t one I can take on, I likely know someone who can.
